I don’t know why there are Popcorn or cottage cheese ceilings on many of our house here in CA. Even now when we have open house in apartment and single house in real estate market, we still can see this textured ceiling. Before we move in new house, we may think of renovating whole house and get rid of the popcorn ceailing into flat one.
If you’re looking to get rid of the ole’ cottage cheese, Aaron Rollins provides a way for you to do it quickly and cleanly.All you have to do is spray your popcorn ceiling with water. Grab a 6-inch Spackle knife and duct tape it to the end of your shop vacuum. The Spackle knife easily scrapes off the popcorn ceiling, while the vacuum quickly sucks in the debris. This will save you a whole lot of time and mess! Rollins says he was able to complete the entire room in less than 10 minutes with this technique.
